You can get a free online anti-malware scan of your computer using nothing more than your web browser. These online scans aren't meant to replace
antivirus software and other security software on your computer, but they can supplement them, as well as providing you with quick peace of mind. Here's the 4 most popular online
computer virus scanners, complete with descriptions and their URLs to give you instant access to them.
1) HouseCall
Trend Micro's free on-demand scanner identifies and removes unwanted browser plugins, root-kits,

A small download is required to start the scan, but the free program gathers no information that would identify you. You can save a copy of the program, but should visit the website on a regular basis to get the latest version.
