Rising AntiVirus Free 2011 Screen Shots:

Screenshot #1:   Rising AntiVirus 2011 Free Edition insists that users reboot their machines before installation finishes. The dialog displayed lists two files that must be updated by the reboot - neither of which will have any meaning for ordinary users.

Rising Installation

Screenshot #2:   Rising prompts you at the end of the installation process to enable Rising Cloud Security, which pools new virus information from users around the world. The single run-on sentence explaining the feature is typical of much of the program's on-screen help.

Rising Cloud Security

Screenshot #3:   The Rising Dashboard displays the computer's current security status, and provides access to all of the program's features. Users can click the t-shirt icon in the upper right corner to change the application's skin (colors and images).

Screenshot #4:   The Virus Scanner displays which file is currently being examined, and a list of all potentially infected files that have been placed in quarantine.

Screen Shot #5:   The Tools tab displays a list of additional tools - some of which are useful, and some of which are silly. The "Rising assistant," for instance, appears to be a take-off on Microsoft Office's Clippy.

Rising Tools

Screenshot #6:   The Defence tab lists the various security protections provided by Rising Free Antivirus, and provides controls for enabling and disabling them.

Rising Additional Defences

Screenshot #7:   With the Settings dialog, Rising users can control security scanning behavior by configuring the optimal balance between scanning speed and system performance.
